the limited design dvd for the first rebuild of evangelion movie has just been released a few days ago (link to official website). priced at about 6,000 yen, it’s about 1,000 yen more expensive than the normal edition, which would only hit stores on 21st may.
and as usual, fans in europe would either have to a) import it, b) wait ten years for some distributor to pick it up or c) wait for fansubs to pop up.. thinking about it, i’m pretty sure the european market wouldn’t be smaller than that of singapore’s – so why can’t they at least screen the movie in one theatre in london or something? grr.
ps by the way, according to wiki, the “1.01″ denotes that the pictures, sound and editings are finely tuned for DVD by anno. maybe that justifies the hefty price tag? =P
