am i the only one who thinks that the transition of the land-bound guren into the flighted version is THE coolest scene ever – up to now – in geass’ history?
what impressed me more is the level of detail given to the control panel of the guren when the wings and the (upgraded) weapon attached. i’ll leave it to the split-second screenshots to illustrate what i mean. in chronological order:

starts off with lakshata and co. watching the two arrows converge on their oversized screen.

i went “wow” when i saw this. the only mistake that i spotted (sorry for nitpicking) after poring over the image is the use of katakana to represent “system” as shisutemu.

the guren “can fly” mode =P

it’s noticeable that the control panel re-uses quite a number of the notification boxes, but the use of language is flawless. a disclaimer: i might not be the best judge as my chinese language standards have been deteriorating over the last few years =)
also, someone has already updated the wikipedia page with the specifications of the guren flying type machine, which i plagiarized and pasted here:
Guren Flight-Capable Type
Series: Type-02
Height: 4.51m
Weight: 7510kg
Weapons:
- Armor-piercing Bombardment-type Fukushahadō × 1 (輻射波動? lit. radiation surge)

- Short-Barreled Cannon × 1
- Fork Knife × 1

The ridiculous attention to detail by Sunrise continues to impress me. Too bad I can’t read it for myself. =P
Me thinks it’s awesomely cool as well! Been rewatching it over and over again..
