Unnamed World

Anyone out there following Nijuu Mensou no Musume? It started pretty slow but it’s picked up since the 3rd episode and things are getting pretty interesting. Or maybe it’s just me being a fanboy of mystery-detective-phantom-theif and Hirano Aya. The ED-Unnamed World sang by Hirano Aya is pretty good:-

Speaking of Hirano Aya, do you love or hate her? I know there are a lot of people out there that absolutely hate her. Her wikipedia Japanese webpage was once vandalised, some folk who had too much time filled the page with 死ね(Die):-

If you’re wondering why people would hate her, Watch! Seiyuu-san compiled an interesting list of reasons posted on 2ch. Here’s a translation by Hashihime:-

●activities:
・her face is appearing too often
・no bathing-suit photos
・poor singer, which can be seen in live events when she has trouble breathing
・even though she’s a poor singer, she released three singles in three months
・weird song arrangements

・her voice is screechingly high and hurts your ears
・her voice shifts over the episodes when she is playing a single character
・her voice and acting are the same no matter who she plays
・despite her poor acting, she is praised to the skies

・in interviews, she just says what people want to hear (about hair color, about precognition)

Bashing? or plain facts? Well, depends on which side of the fence you are on. I wouldn’t worry too much, it’s just normal when you are that popular I guess.

Recently though, Hirano Aya seems to be moving slightly towards the Idol realm, with the release of her idol DVD - Love Story (in which you can see her in bikini), here’s a video on YouTube:-
