Also like you i didnt know who will Shin choose right until the end. I think the audience was kinda left out at the end, not seeing how the couples developed, eg Ai and Miyokichi and Shin/Hiromi. However i was left feeling happy for them and happy that Noe got her tears back, tears of happiness i guess. Also Hiromi FTW! P.S. if is was a noe ending then i would have raged hard!!!
